PrACTICAL INFO

  • Do you have a electric screwdriver and/or an impact driver (ratchet)?

If so, it would be great if you could bring it along. Don’t forget a bit holder — we’ll provide the bits.

It would also be helpful if you could bring a tape measure.

  • During setup, safety regulations apply. Please read them carefully before coming to the site.

Safety shoes are advised (ideally S3 or higher). If you’re looking for an affordable pair of safety shoes, I can recommend some.

Bring hearing protection (if you have any). We have backups available in case someone doesn’t have earplugs or headphones.

Look out for each other 👀

The construction site will remain open to the public during setup. So please help us ensure that passersby don’t come too close when we’re lifting heavy beams, and stay aware of your surroundings. Also, be careful when we lay down electrical cables (e.g., with a reel/haspels).

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS – SETUP AND TAKEDOWN

    General Guidelines
⚪ The site will not be closed off and will therefore remain accessible to the public. If necessary, create a barrier around the work area to ensure safety.
⚪ Wear sturdy shoes (preferably S3 safety shoes) and, if needed, work gloves and a helmet.
⚪ Always keep access routes, escape routes, and emergency exits clear.
⚪ Follow the instructions of the responsible site manager or safety officer immediately.
⚪ Only certified personnel may operate aerial lifts or forklifts.
⚪ No alcohol or drug use during work activities.

    Preparation
⚪ Check that all materials and tools are in good condition.
⚪ Make clear agreements about tasks and responsibilities.
⚪ Take weather conditions into account (wind, rain, heat).

    Setup
⚪ Check the stability of tents, stands, and structures (use ballast/anchors where necessary).
⚪ Work with at least two people when lifting heavy or large objects.
⚪ Use ladders, aerial lifts, or scaffolding in accordance with safety regulations.
⚪ Ensure safe electrical connections (no loose cables, use cable ducts).
⚪ Keep vehicles (forklifts, trucks) separate from pedestrian zones; if this is not possible, drive slowly and stay alert to your surroundings.

    During Work
⚪ Keep the work area tidy: do not leave loose materials or tools lying around.
⚪ Stop work immediately if a dangerous situation arises and report it to the site manager.
⚪ Be cautious during lifting operations – no one should stand under or near suspended loads.

    Emergencies
⚪ In case of emergency, always call 112, clearly state the location, and inform the site manager immediately so that traffic controllers can be notified.
⚪ Always report incidents and near-misses to the responsible site manager.
